Breakfast Toast

Toast Full English Breakfast

Toast is a common meal for breakfast. It is quick and easy to make. Pop a slice of bread in the toaster and once it is ready add whatever you like from simply butter to jam, marmalade or chocolate spread.

Toast can also be a part of a fuller breakfast such as a Full English Breakfast to have on the side or to dip into the yolk of your fried egg or to mop up the sauce of your baked beans.

Egg and Soldiers makes a filling breakfast. For perfect eggs boil your eggs for no more than 4 minutes, whilst your eggs are boiling, toast your bread and butter as soon as it is toasted enough for you. Slice into “soldiers” and then your eggs should be ready. Carefully slice the top of your egg off and enjoy dipping your toast into the soft boiled eggs.

Toast for breakfast can be:

  • Marmelade on Toast
  • Jam on Toast
  • Various Spreads on Toast
  • Egg and Soldiers
  • Full English Breakfast

Lunchtime Toast

Cheese And Tomato Toasted Sandwich

The best lunchtime meal to have which is toast based has got to be a toasted sandwich. Toasted sandwiches work well when cheese is added to the filling to make it extra tasty and to bind your filling together. Toasted sandwiches can be bought in many cafes and coffee shops where you will find various fillings available. You can also make up your own toasted sandwich at home; you can use a sandwich toaster to make a toasted sandwich or you can use your grill to make a toasted sandwich. Make sure that you grill your toast first if you want your bread to be extra toastie and then add your ingredients and let your filling cook nicely under the heat of the grill.

Popular toasted sandwich fillings are:

  • Cheese and Mushroom
  • Cheese and Tomato
  • Cheese and Ham
