This year Pancake Day falls on Tuesday 9th February 2016. Pancakes are not something we eat everyday, so why not use Pancake Day to enjoy pancakes all day long. The great thing about pancakes are that you can eat them as either sweet or savoury dishes.
A Pancake Breakfast
Do you enjoy a nice full English breakfast to start your day? Why not add some pancakes on the side. Wrap your sausages, bacon and eggs in your pancakes and enjoy a full English with a difference.
A Pancake Lunch
Instead of making your usual sandwich for lunch today, choose a favourite filling to add to your savoury pancakes for lunch. Ham, cheese and mushrooms make a tasty combination or maybe a simple cheese and tomato and let the cheese melt in the warmth if your freshly made pancakes.
A Pancake Dinner
If you’ve got as far as dinner then you are successfully achieving the Smart Restaurants pancake challenge. Don’t give up yet, try a refreshing salmon and yoghurt pancake for dinner with a side of salad.
A Pancake Sweet Dessert
Your on the final stage of the pancake challenge and you have to finish off the day with a classic lemon and sugar flavoured pancake. If this isn’t something you fancy then how about Nutella or your favourite flavoured jam to add to your sweet pancake.
Have some fun with your pancakes and turn your pancakes into various creative shapes and into different characters. This is something your children will enjoy doing with you on Pancake Day 2016.
